A Brief History

Beginnings:

3Scape was founded in 2012. We recognized the need to enhance the quality of life experiences of those both living and working in seniors facilities. We gathered input from numerous communities and a helpful geriatric psychiatric team to develop a nonpharmaceutical method of helping to reduce anxiety and depression for these people.

Our first project:

With considerable time, effort, self-financing, plus helpful grants, we were able to create our first 3D large screen product called “Remembering”. “Remembering” was market tested in a dozen locations in Canada and the U.S. Over a thousand elderly residents, as well as staff, gave it exceptional positive feedback.

Expanding:

We then embarked on expanding this concept and with help from the Canadian Media Fund – Experimental Stream, and the Alberta Media Fund. This allowed us to produce an additional four videos to add to our 3Scape library.

Moving forward:

With additional feedback from the community, we expanded the 3Scape offerings to include curated material that was available and recreate this 2D material into our 3D format. All at a very reasonable cost. This enabled us to offer a larger, more diverse library so that facility directors can present a broad variety of videos to entertain and benefit their residents.

The purpose built media centre conveniently allows greater access to additional future media, providing even more viewing options for residents.
