3Scape was founded in 2012. Our parent company, The Image Works, had, over several years, created and developed many promotional videos for facilities serving the elderly. As a result, we recognized the need to enhance the quality of life experiences of those both living and working in these facilities.
Our first project:
With considerable time, effort and self-financing, plus helpful grants from the Alberta government, we were able to create our first 3D large screen product called “Remembering”. “Remembering” was market tested in a dozen locations in Canada and the U.S. Over a thousand elderly residents, as well as staff, gave it exceptional positive feedback.
We then embarked on expanding this concept with adding a VR goggles delivery option as well as 3D. To help us achieve this we received major funding from the Canadian Media Fund – Experimental Stream, and the Alberta Media Fund. This allowed us to produce an additional four videos to add to our 3Scape library.
Our overall objective is for both elderly residents and those who care for them to have a system available to them that can make a major contribution to their quality of life.
Under the worst of conditions, your staff have excelled under huge pressure, long hours, and burnout, doing their best to protect frail residents from the impact of the coronavirus.
The vaccine is here. A new normal will emerge.
When that time comes, 3Scape’s technology might just help make the future for your staff and residents a little easier and brighter.
